We took advantage of Sheridan hosting the Wyoming State Republican Convention this weekend by inviting all four Republican gubernatorial candidates to be on Friday's Public Pulse program.

Sheridan Media News Director Ron Richter served as host of the program, posing questions to Rita Meyer, Colin Simpson, Matt Mead and Ron Micheli.

Most of the questions dealt with the candidates' views on education in the state. Rita Meyer shared her views on the issue.

Matt Mead said that while work at the top level is necessary.

Candidate Ron Micheli said his family is vested in education.

And Colin Simpson discussed standards of gaging student performance around the state.

All four candidates agreed that while the state has made a big investment in the education system. They all agree we have great teachers in the state, but the testing requirements are a huge challenge. They also are not pleased with the low graduation and high dropout rates.
