The fifteenth Monster March happened Thursday evening in Buffalo, with all ages celebrating Halloween a bit early.
The annual event is a safe alternative for kids to trick-or-treat local businesses in a more controlled environment, according to Buffalo Chamber of Commerce Director Angela Jarvis.
According to Jarvis, more than 850 children participated in this year's Monster March. In addition, she said, more than 60 local businesses lined Main Street from the Jim Gatchell Museum south to Angus Street and back to the Chamber of Commerce, handing out their assorted goodies. The Monster March has grown from a few dozen participants into a popular annual tradition in Buffalo.
