A Wyoming Game and Fish hunter check station went off without a hitch earlier this week near Buffalo, as more than 300 hunters were stopped by Game and Fish personnel on Highway 16 Tuesday about a mile west of Buffalo.

Game and Fish Information Specialist Warren Mischke says that with the large number of hunters that were stopped, there were no major incidents.

Mischke says that hunters should keep in mind that stopping at hunter check stations is required by law.

Mischke added that a hunter check station near Kaycee last weekend went well and that hunters should expect periodic checks throughout the season.
