G&F to Host Hunting Season Open Houses

Wildlife managers with the Sheridan region of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be presenting the proposed 2018 hunting seasons through a series of upcoming open houses and public meetings.

Game and Fish Sheridan Region Public Information Specialist Bud Stewart says that the first of three open houses will be held Monday, March 26 from 4 to 6 pm at the regional office in Sheridan. He said the other two open houses will be held in Buffalo and Gillette on Tuesday, the 27. Both of those open houses will take place at the public library in each town from 4 to 7pm.

Stewart said that there will be public meetings in Hulett and Kaycee regarding the hunting seasons as well. He said after all of the meetings and open houses, there will be a final information gathering meeting at the Sheridan Regional Office on Monday, April 2 at 7 pm.

Stewart said the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission will meet April 24 and 25 in Lander to set this year’s fall hunting season.
