With springtime in full bloom, there are plenty of young wildlife that people may come across on occasion. Game and Fish Information Specialist Warren Mischke says that the best thing a person can do for the newborn wildlife is to leave it alone.

Mischke said that most mothers this time of year hide their young and return to them periodically to nurse them. It is also illegal to adopt newborn wildlife, as state and federal laws prohibit the possession of game and many non-game animals.
