The Johnson County Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum in Buffalo is offering a new history series this summer called “Wine About History.”

Museum Director Sylvia Bruner explains “Wine About History.”

The museum does have open container permits, so beer and wine are acceptable at these events, according to Bruner.

The next in the speaker series will be offered next Wednesday, featuring speakers Dollie Iberlin and Bill Novotny talking about Basque sheep wagons, their history, use, and function.
Bruner explains why the wagons are so important to the history of Johnson County.

The presentation, “Sheep Wagon History-A Discussion About Their Use and Function” will be at the museum next Wednesday beginning at 6pm.

Those attending are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and their beverage of choice.

It is free to attend.
