Gatchell to Host Community Day Saturday in Buffalo

Another happening in Buffalo this weekend is the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum's Community Day on Saturday, August 6. The museum will be open with free admission, specials in the gift/bookstore and a book signing with local author Gil Bollinger.

John Gavin, Director of the Gatchell Museum, explains more about the community day, and the new exhibits.

The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum focuses on the history of Johnson County and the Powder River area. It is named for local pharmacist Jim Gatchell, who began collecting artifacts given to him for display in his shop. The Gatchell family donated the items to the city of Buffalo, who built the museum to house them. The museum will be open from 9am to 6pm For the Community Day. For more information, go to
