'The Future of Native American Education'

Neltje is donating more land, and this time it's to the Native American Indian Alaskan & Hawaiian Education Development Center.

The NAIAHEDC plans to build its national headquarters and university on the land that's located on the Wrench Ranch in north Sheridan. A celebration was held Tuesday morning to recognize Neltje, Butch Jellis, and present the project to the public.

President and founder of the NAIAHEDC, Craig Dougherty.

The center, to be built sometime in the near future, will be located just north of the land Neltje recently gave to Sheridan College for its agricultural program facilities.

Neljte gave her comments during the celebration.

According to its website, the mission of the NAIAHEDC is to close the gap between Native American and white students through helping both teachers and students, en route to a host of educational opportunities.
