Future Of JCSD1's Learning Center Building Unsure

At their last meeting the Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees were informed that the Learning Center Building, which has been used for a number of years by the district, will as of this fall be vacant and will not be needed at least for the foreseeable future, if at all.

Superintendent Dr. Rod Kessler explained that there have been moves of personnel from that building to others as room has made itself available and as others retire or move on.

He siad the building will become vacant this fall, and he then told the board administrators are considering a number of options for the building.

No decisions have been made as yet and school district administration will take some time to determine the best course of action for the district-owned building.
