'Fuddy Meers' Opens Tonight at Carriage House Theatre

The Sheridan Civic Theatre Guild's rendition of “Fuddy Meers” - a comedy by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire - will show Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm in the Carriage House Theatre.

Gene Davis directs the play. He recently directed “I Hate Hamlet”, “The God Committee” and “Over the River and Through the Woods” for the Civic Theatre Guild.

Davis tells us where the play's title comes from.

The story's main character Claire, played by Dimitra Dugal, has psychogenic amnesia - or loses her memory every night when she goes to sleep.

Claire's husband Richard is played by Micah Wyatt, and Ryan Legler plays “The Limping Man”.

The New York Times Reviewed the play as: “Heady fun...fresh zingy dialogue, which revels in warping the language of self-help books,...a dark, sweet a thoroughly engaging comedy.”

The play will show throughout the month of November. Purchase tickets weekdays at the WYO Theater box office at wyotheater.com or at the Carriage House box office. Adults tickets are $15, and senior and student tickets are $12.

The play is rated “R” for strong language and some violence.
