Free Workshop To Be Held On Stone Preservation

A free workshop on stone preservation will be held by the Wyoming State Historic Preservation office on July 30th from 9 am. to 4 pm. at the highland cemetery in Casper. The State Historic Preservation office is sponsoring this workshop as part of their monuments and markers stewardship program.

According to Historian Laura Nowlin, the stewardship program is new and in need of volunteers.

A gravestone conservator will teach techniques in conserving, stabilizing, and cleaning gravestones and demonstrate how to join broken gravestone fragments with the correct materials and how to re-set stones. For more information, log onto www.wyoshpo.org
