FREE CLINIC

POWELL, Wyo. (AP) - A free medical clinic in Powell for
low-income people has been in operation for a year now. The Heart Mountain Volunteer Medical Clinic opened in July 2008 and is run and staffed by doctors, nurses, receptionists, a pharmacist and other support-service representatives who volunteer their time.
Clinic Executive Director Joanne Cozzens says the clinic sees between 14 and 20 patients each week, most by appointment.
Cozzens says the clinic has received an increasing number of donations from businesses, clubs and charities. She says work is beginning to establish a branch of the clinic in nearby Cody.
