Foundation Grant Helps Feed Children in Johnson County

A program in Johnson County designed to help feed schoolchildren on weekends has received grant funding that will help them expand the program.

Grant funding from the Sheridan Opportunities Fund and the William J. Kirven Jr. Fund, of the Wyoming Community Foundation, will allow Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends (JC-FFF) to expand their program to include more fresh, healthy foods from local vendors, according to a release from JC-FFF.

The non-profit provides children in Johnson County with nutritious food over the weekend who might otherwise go hungry.
They have distributed over 3,200 bags of food to children over the 2018-19 school year.
