Following Up on the Komainu Lions

Last week we told you about an effort to garner public feedback on the possibility of moving the two “lion dog” sculptures that adorn the front entrance of Kendrick Park in Sheridan. Consultant Patrick Kipper performed a condition report this past summer that recommended that the sculptures be moved indoors due to the amount of deterioration that the bronze sculptures have endured since being donated by Peter Neiter in 1919.

Former Chair of the Sheridan Public Arts Committee Fachon Wilson says that there are several ways people can offer their input on what to do with the sculptures.
