Flooding Expected Throughout the Week

The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a flood watch for portions of southeast Montana and North Central Wyoming, including Sheridan County.

The watch is effective late Tuesday night through Saturday morning. Sheridan County Emergency Management Coordinator Bruce Edwards.

Edwards said that if the weather forecast for this week holds true, the NWS is warning of rapid, strong rises on creeks and streams in the area.

Edwards said that there are several self-fill sandbag stations available throughout Sheridan County.

According to the NWS, widespread rain and mountain snow will fall across the region throughout the week, with heavier periods of precipitation are expected Tuesday through Wednesday and again Thursday afternoon into Friday.
