It really wasn't a mob, but folks did trickle in to the Sheridan Commercial Company Saturday for the first ever “Cash Mob.”

Described as a gathering of the masses at a specific time and place to spend some money in support of a selected business, it could be simple stated as local folks supporting their local businesses.

Linda Jeffers thought it was a fantastic idea.

Twenty dollars doesn't seem too much to spend when supporting local businesses; it's an economic stimulus, that shot in the arm, on the local level. Kurt Smith, owner of Sheridan Commercial.

Hopes are to make the Cash Mob a monthly event.
