Fire Destroys House on Beaver Creek

Fire destroyed a home on Beaver Creek Road this past weekend.

Big Horn Fire Chief Alan Telck said the structure is still standing, and firefighters managed to save a few items, but he said the house was totaled.

The fire was reported about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, and Telck said the blaze appears to have started in the garage. The cause is still under investigation.

The house is in the Big Horn Fire District, and Telck said three Big Horn units responded to the alarm, along with units from Goose Valley, Sheridan Fire and Rescue and Rocky Mountain Ambulance. No injuries were reported.

Telck said the owners of the house weren’t home and, in fact, he hasn’t yet heard from them. He said the mutual aid Big Horn received from the other units on the scene was very helpful in fighting the fire.
