Fire Danger Warning Issued for Sheridan County

The National Weather Service Office in Billings has issued a fire danger warning for areas of southeast Montana and northern central Wyoming, including Sheridan County. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

The Weather Service this week published the fire danger warning for Sheridan and Sheridan County that is in effect through Saturday. Sheridan County Emergency Management Coordinator Bruce Edwards says that above normal temperatures, low humidity, and high wind gusts over the next few days prompted the warning from the Weather Service.

Edwards said the strongest winds are expected on Saturday, where wind gusts could reach up to 55 mph at times throughout the day.
