Despite a few days last week of cooler temperatures that produced small amounts of precipitation, fire danger in the Bighorn National Forest remains very high. BHNF Fire Management Officer Jon Warder.

Warder says that the Forest Service wants to remind people that due to the very high fire danger, Stage I fire restrictions remain in effect on the National Forest.

Warder said that they have had a couple of campfires that have occurred and that people need to remember that they can be held liable for the cost incurred for fighting a forest fire.
