Fire Causes 'Extensive Damage' To Buffalo's Joy Appliance

Buffalo Fire crews responded to a report of a structure fire at about 4am Friday at Joy Appliance and Video on North Lobban Street.

Buffalo Fire Chief Gomer Gammon said roughly 15 firefighters arrived and found smoke coming from the building. They entered the structure and found the interior in flames and proceeded to put out the fire.

As of 11:30 Friday morning, Gammon reported “extensive” damage to the interior and contents of the building, but had no dollar estimate of loss.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing, and Gammon said it will be a few weeks before a cause is determined.
