Fatal Crash Shuts Down Highway 212 Near Lame Deer

A crash involving a pickup truck and a semi truck in Rosebud County, Montana, early Thursday morning left one person dead.

The Montana Highway Patrol confirmed that the crash happened on U.S. Highway 12 west of Lame Deer around 4:30 a.m.
The section of road where the crash occurred was closed most of the day due to the crash.

According to KTVQ.com, a pickup truck and a semi truck collided head-on. The driver of the pickup, who was the only occupant, was killed. The driver and a passenger in the semi truck suffered minor injuries. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is the lead investigator due to the fact that the crash happened on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. The name of the victim was not released.
