Farm Bill May Lack Rural Development Funding

The Center for Rural Affairs is protested the House of Representative's version of the national Farm Bill, saying the wording does now allow adequate funding for rural development.

Chuck Hassebrook, with the center, said the bill, which is currently in the Agriculture Committee, has him worried.

According to a media release from the Wyoming News Service, the House version of the Farm Bill cuts funding for starting farmers and ranchers in half. The senate passed this version of the bill last month.
