Fairboard Receives Update On Drainage Improvements

The Sheridan County Fair Association Board of Trustees received an update at their monthly meeting Thursday from Entech Engineer Dave Engles on proposed drainage improvements at the Fairgrounds. Engles outlines some of the main areas that will be improved.

The Smith Street entrance into the Fairgrounds will also be getting a makeover.

There will be a bid opening for the project on December 22nd and the Sheridan County Commissioner's will consider the bid award at their 1st meeting in January. The Fairboard will hold a special meeting to award the bid prior to the Commissioner's meeting on January 5th.

Engles said that they hope to start the project February 1st 2010 and be finished by the 1st of May.

How can sheridan even consider wasting more money on the fair grounds,when they don't even have the funds for worth while infrastructure throughout the city and county.
