Accused Highway Shooter Faces Charges

49-year-old Todd Faass has been ordered bound over to district court on a charge of attempted murder in the second degree.

Circuit Court Judge Shelley Cundiff made the ruling, and continued $75,000 bond against the Big Horn man, after a preliminary hearing Thursday. The next step in proceedings will be an arraignment in which the defendant will be asked to deliver a plea.

The defendant is charged with shooting a Sheridan man earlier this month on Highway 335 between Red Grade Road and the high school in Big Horn. A witness for the prosecution Thursday said 18-year-old Tyler Lindberg was shot twice, once in the shoulder and once in the neck, by the driver of a pickup truck who was following the victim. The defendant's attorney argued that none of the witnesses to the shooting ever identified his client as the shooter.
