The Economically Needed Diversity Options for Wyoming initiative was signed into law last March by Governor Matt Mead after the State Legislature endorsed the initiative and appropriated $2.5 million to advance and promote economic diversification.

In April, the Governor appointed accomplished business and community leaders to the ENDOW Executive Council, and directed them to formulate a long-term plan on diversifying the State’s economy.

Since May, the Council has been holding meetings at various locations throughout the State in an effort to gather information for an executive summary that will be submitted to Mead and the Legislature at the end of this month. During the Council’s recent meeting in Sheridan, Wyoming Business Council CEO Shawn Reese discussed the importance of the executive summary that the Council is putting together.

Reese told the Council that the summary should be a synthesis of where they’ve come as a group over the past few months and a reflection of all of the data they’ve received.
