Events Set For Longmire Days, Oldies 105-9 Sponsors Ride

The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce has announced that events for Buffalo's upcoming Longmire Days, August 17-18, have been finalized and Sherdian Media's Oldies 105-9 will be co-sponsoring, along with Paradise Guest Ranch, a horseback trail ride through the Big Horn Mountains with some of the actors from the television series.

The TV series, broadcast on the A&E Network, is about to wrap up their second season, and is based on local author Craig Johnson's mystery novel series about a “troubled small-town sheriff who seeks the truth as secrets, betrayal and murder swirl in fictional Absaroka County, Wyoming. Johnson uses Buffalo and Johnson County characters and locations to breath life into Longmire's hometown of Durant, Absaroka County, Wyoming,” according to a news release from the chamber.

The actors from the series and Johnson will be in town during Longmire Days to help celebrate the second-annual event.
Scheduled to appear are Adam Bartley (the Ferg); Cassidy Freeman (Cady Longmire); Bailey Chase (Branch Connally); Katee Sackhoff (Victoria 'Vic' Noretti); and Robert Taylor (Sheriff Walt Longmire).
Lou Diamond Phillips (Henry Standing Bear) will make an appearance if his schedule allows.

Many events will be taking place during the weekend, with the actors participating in most events. For a complete run-down of events and the actors who will be participating, click here.

On Sunday Paradise Guest Ranch and Oldies 105-9 will offer a horseback ride through the Big Horn Mountains.
For a donation of $200, those interested can rent a horse from the ranch and participate. All but $50 of the proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project. You can also bring your own horse and participate for the same $200 donation, with all of the funds going to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Twenty horses are available to rent from Paradise Guest Ranch and there is a limit of 30 persons total that can attend the ride.
Slots are filling fast, so contact the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce to reserve a spot.
Expected on the ride are actors Adam Bartley, Bailey Chase and Cassidy Freeman.
