Evening of Fun to Benefit Gatchell Museum

Evening of Fun to Benefit Gatchell Museum

This Saturday's annual Gatchell Museum Association Fall Gathering will benefit the Johnson County Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum, but more for daily operations than in other years, according to Museum Director Sylvia Bruner.

Bruner said funding to the museum has been cut about one-third, and funds raised by the Fall Gathering will help offset those losses.

The event will feature dinner, live and silent auctions, and entertainment to benefit the museum.

Bruner discussed the evening's events during an appearance on our news talk show Public Pulse.

There will be raffle items including a Deadwood getaway including tickets to the Oak Ridge Boys Christmas Show and an Uberti 1873 Cattleman II revolver, where winners will be drawn at the event.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $30 each and are available at the museum, from any GMA board member, and at the door at the event.

The Gatchell Museum Association's Fall Gathering will be Saturday at 6pm at the Johnson County Fairgrounds, and is sponsored in part by Sheridan Media.
