Enplanements at Sheridan County Airport were up again last month.

Airport Manager John Stopka reported on the numbers in a meeting with county commissioners Tuesday.

According to Stopka's report, Denver Air Connection enplaned 815 passengers in March this year compared to 771 in March 2017, an increase of just under 6 percent.

Stopka said there were no cancelled flights last month, and only two delayed flights. Stopka said both of the delays were due to mechanical issues in Denver.

In other matters Tuesday, Stopka said bids were opened on April 4 for the rehab of lights at the airport. He said the airport received six bids on the project, and the low bid was about $274,000 below the engineer's estimate for the work.

Stopka said he'll have a recommendation for commissioners at their regular meeting on April 17.

He said the Department of Environmental Quality inspected the airport's fuel farm on April 6, and there were no issues. Stopka said plans are also moving forward for the airport open house and fly-in that's set for Aug. 25 at the airport.
