Drug Investigation Leads to Arrests in Sheridan

On Wednesday, members of the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, Sheridan Police Department, and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation arrested two Sheridan residents on a number of drug charges.

According to information provided by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Northeast Enforcement Team, 50-year-old Emmett Shepherd was arrested and charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance- methamphetamine, one count of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance- methamphetamine, and one count of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance- marijuana. Also arrested was 37-year-old Candice Reimers for the charge of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance- marijuana.

Shepherd was arrested at a jobsite and Reimers was arrested at her residence. Following the arrests, search warrants were executed at both of their residences, where suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and firearms were seized from both locations.

The arrests and search warrants were the result of a lengthy investigation by DCI, with the assistance of the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, the Sheridan Police Department and the Wyoming Highway Patrol, into a group of individuals involved in the distribution of methamphetamine and marijuana in the Sheridan area. The investigation is ongoing and further arrests are anticipated.
