Driver Injured in Car Crash

A car wreck at the intersection of Beaver Creek and Big Horn roads on Friday reportedly left the driver injured, but no other information is available regarding his condition.

Lt. Mark Conrad with the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office said Rocky Mountain Ambulance was called to the scene.

He identified the driver Christopher Paul Johnson, 39, of Sheridan, and said the man was issued a citation for driving while under the influence. The Sheridan man is scheduled to appear in circuit court on Sept. 9.

The lieutenant could not release any information regarding the extent of the driver's injuries, and a spokesman for Rocky Mountain Ambulance said the company's policy is to not release information. Cecile Patterson, the public relations person at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, said she could find no record of the driver at the hospital.
