Dog Walk to Raise Funds For Buffalo Animal Shelter

Dog Walk to Raise Funds For Buffalo Animal Shelter

The 4K Paws Dogwalk/Run will be happening Wednesday in Buffalo, and as you would guess, the event has something to do with four paws.

Penny Loughan, volunteer at the St Francis Animal Shelter in Buffalo, tells us what the fundraiser is all about.

The dog walk will be organized near the train engine at Washington Park beginning at 6pm, and the walk will actually take place on the Clear Creek Walking Trail from the park west to the Veteran's Home of Wyoming and back, Laughan said. Bring your own dog, or, if you wish, borrow one of the six dogs from the shelter that will be at the event.

The cost of the walk is $25, which includes a t-shirt, a doggie bandana and a tote bag. There will also be refreshments for both humans and canines, and CMS Pet Products and Services of Sheridan will be there with samples for the dogs.

All of the refreshments and gifts were donated to the event by generous local businesses. Pre-registration is helpful, but no one will be turned away, Loughan said. To pre-register or for more information, call the St. Francis Animal Shelter at 684-1738.
