District 1 Trustees Let Bid for Kitchen Remodel

Dick Anderson Construction has been awarded the bid for a remodel of the Tongue River Middle School kitchen.

Action came during the trustees' meeting Tuesday night. Trustees Chairman Gary Reynolds said Anderson submitted the low bid of a little under $692,000 for the project.

In other action, trustees changed the time of spring break next year so it will coincide with spring break at Sheridan College. Reynolds said the reason for the change is that a lot of high school students take classes at the college. Dates of spring break next year will be March 25-29.

Trustees also approved several policies during the meeting. Cara Reichert, who works in the central office's finance department, was named recipient of the Apple Award, which is a recognition presented to the district's classified staff.
