Continuing our coverage of the tech programs available at Sheridan College, Sheridan Media’s Judy Hagerott brings us this story on the Diesel Technology Program there.

Keeping those big rigs moving down the highway is what the Diesel Tech Program is teaching students at Sheridan College according to Instructor Duane Fischer.

He said the two-year program provides skills that open the doors to a variety of good paying job opportunities.

It takes a unique individual to want to work on the big rigs.

John Sikkenga has taught in the program for over 27 years and has seen students come out changed.

Toby Reynolds is from Rozet and graduates this year from the program and has had numerous job offers. He credits his instructors.
