The design build team of O’Dell Construction and Plan One Architects were selected for the Vacutech Expansion project, which consists of building a 40,000 square foot facility adjacent to the current Vacutech building in north Sheridan.

The Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority, or SEEDA, will lease the facility to Vacutech for five years, after which time, Vacutech will have the option to buy the building.

City of Sheridan Public Works Director Lane Thompson said that they received 6 proposals for the project.

The total estimated cost of the project is $4.4 million. $3 million is in the form of a state grant, and $1.2 million is from a state loan. Vacutech’s cash contribution of $275,000 will pay for the parking area for the new building.
