Dedication Of Flag Pole At Buffalo City Hall This Weekend

Buffalo Building Inspector Toby Rhoades reported to the city council at their last meeting, saying the new flag pole at city hall had been installed and completed by local Boy Scout Aaron Seeman.

Seeman had suggested the project to the city council earlier this year to earn his Eagle Scout Badge from the Boy Scouts of America, and the council approved the project.

Rhoades suggested the upcoming Flag Day, Sunday, June 14th, as an appropriate day to have a dedication and first flag ceremony for the new flag pole, and the council agreed.

The first flag ceremony will be performed on Sunday, June 14th at 1pm at the flag pole in front of city hall, near the main entrance.

Also, Rhoades reported that the annual city-wide cleanup will be happening from June 17-20.

City residents can take a water bill or other proof of residency to city hall and pick up a voucher that is good for as many loads as needed for the landowner to clean up their property of yard debris, garbage, and other unwanted materials.
