Dayton Town Council Awards Bid For Bridge

The Dayton Town Council passed two ordinances that annexed portions of Dayton East Road and Dayton-Ohlman Road into the corporate limits. Area landowners had asked Sheridan County to close a part of Dayton-Ohlman Road prior to annexation. Councilor Norm Anderson says the Fire District asked for the road to remain open.

The town will construct a bridge across Tongue River to accommodate easier access to the Dayton Water Treatment Plant. Councilors awarded a bid for the bridge materials only to Excel Bridge from California for nearly $53,000. Councilor Bob Alley.

The Council also received a report on the new improvements for Scott Bicentennial Park. They hope to have all the infrastructure in place in time for Dayton Days next week.
