Dayton Holding Public Meeting for TR Restoration Project

The Town of Dayton will hold a public meeting next week to discuss the upcoming Tongue River Restoration Project and also address reconstruction of park trails following spring flooding.

Representatives from the Sheridan County Conservation District have worked in the beginning stages of the Tongue River Restoration Project and will field questions at the meeting along with officials from the town of Dayton.

SCCD District Manager Carrie Rogaczewski tells us a little about the project.

The project will focus on the Tongue River through Scott Park in Dayton. The restoration project is in the design stages and will go to bid soon. Project sponsor is the Town of Dayton, while the SCCD will provide cost share funding through various grants.

Additionally, the Town of Dayton will use the forum to discuss rebuilding of park trails after heavy flooding this spring.

The meeting is set for 7:30 pm Wednesday, November 2nd at the Dayton Town Hall.
