Dayton Council to Meet Tuesday

Newly elected town officials will be sworn in, and a resolution honoring retiring Councilor Joey Sheeley will be approved at the Dayton Town Council meeting next week.

The council meeting would normally be on Monday, but since Town Hall will be closed Monday in observance of the New Year's Day holiday, the meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday. The session will start at 7 p.m.

Also scheduled during the meeting will be consideration of a resolution appointing Councilor Craig Reichert to a two-year term on the Tongue River Valley Joint Powers Board. The council will also consider authorizing Dayton residents to run water to avoid freezing waterlines.
