Dayton Council Considers Budget Ordinance

Dayton town councilors will consider first reading of a budget ordinance at their meeting Thursday night.

That starts at 7:30 in the town hall. The new fiscal year starts on July 1.

Also at the meeting, the council will consider first reading of an ordinance setting the mill levy for the new fiscal year, and second reading of an ordinance amending the town's water and sewer ordinance. The amendment would delete penalties for late payment of utility bills.

The council will also open bids for the Scott Park Restroom project and set a special meeting to award the bid, and hear the annual report from the Sheridan Health Center. Also scheduled is a presentation from the Cloud Peak Scanning company.
