People can now fly from Sheridan to points beyond Denver without worrying about their luggage.

Wade Goetz, who's Denver Air Connection's business development director, announced Tuesday that the interline agreement between Denver Air Connection and United Airlines went live as of last Friday.

Goetz said as of now, people can buy tickets from Sheridan to their ultimate destination on United Airlines website – which is united.com.

He said the one issue with that is, at present, the fares are not the lowest people can get. He said to help with that, United has agreed to put Sheridan and Riverton in as an independent flight to Denver, so that people can fly from Sheridan and Riverton to Denver at a cheaper rate then, when they arrive in Denver, they can buy a second ticket to their final destination.

Goetz expects that to be available in the next couple of weeks or so, and people's luggage will still be automatically transferred from Denver Air Connection to a United Airlines plane.

Goetz said for the next couple of weeks, people who buy their tickets on the United website should watch the flights to get the best price they can.

Goetz said he anticipates some further negotiations between Denver Air Connection and United Airlines so that people can get better fares and buy just one ticket. He also anticipates within the next four weeks or so to get online on sites such as Expedia, Kayak and Travelocity.
