Cowboy Christmas Poetry Friday at SCJC

Friday evening, Sheridan College in Johnson County will host the second annual Cowboy Christmas Poetry event at their campus on South Main Street in Buffalo.

Last year's poetry sharing was so successful they decided to bring it back again this year, according to Ashlea Redding with SCJC.

Redding said for the past few months, she has fielded calls from the public wanting to know if and when the next Cowboy Christmas Poetry would happen.

She explains why Cowboy Christmas Poetry is all about.

This year's five Cowboy Poets are Cheyenne Greub, Georgie Sicking, Splint Memmer, Charlie Cook and Pat Berg, who will share their wit, humor and experiences through their creativity.

Cowboy Christmas Poetry will begin at 7pm Friday and is free to the public. Refreshments will be served afterwards and Redding said their might even be an open mic period if time allows.
