At their latest meeting the Johnson County Commissioners heard County Planner Rob Yingling's report.
He gave them a written annual report covering the planning commission and the county's planning department.

Yingling said public workshops and revisions of the zoning document took up most of the planning commission's time over the last year. Another priority, he said, was revising the subdivision regulations that adopted in 1996, which the planning and zoning commission chose to table until they were done with the zoning document. The subdivision regulations will now be the priority moving forward.

Yingling said he has been involved in discussions with those interested in developing the King Trust Property, which is east of Interstate 25 and north of Highway 16.
Developers are looking at the possibility, and he explained further.

The business ready community grant would pay for infrastructure in the newly-annexed property, according to Yingling.

Yingling wrapped by informing the commissioners of a cell tower project on Hazelton Road.
The project will construct a 195-foot guide communications tower on the east side of Hazelton Road just south of the Billy Creek Access Road.
