Alcoholic beverage servers in the City of Sheridan have been required to have TIPS training for some time, in an effort to decrease over serving and other problems related to consumption of alcohol. According to Sheridan County Undersheriff Levi Dominguez, soon servers in other areas of the community will be required to take the training as well.

Dominguez said that the new rule only applies to certain licensees in Sheridan County.

Dominguez continued that compliance is needed by September 1 of this year. The dates and times for classes, which are free and open to all, will be updated on the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office website as soon as they are scheduled.
