Hundreds of fourth graders from all three of Sheridan County's school districts went to the Exhibit Hall at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Tuesday for the ag expo hosted by the Sheridan County CattleWomen.

Sue Martin, a member of the CattleWomen and chair of the expo, said the purpose of the annual event is to teach the children about agriculture and where their food comes from.

A farrier was also on hand, along with members of the high schools' FFA organizations.

Martin said the CattleWomen have been holding the expos for a number of years, and the events are normally attended by around 400 children a year.

She said CattleWomen in Wyoming's other counties also have expos, some in the spring while others, like the Sheridan County women, hold the event in the fall.
