County, Conservation District to Apply for Assistance

Sheridan County's Commissioners ratified a letter from the Sheridan County Conservation District to the Natural Resources Conservation Services requesting federal assistance to fix damages sustained in the county during the precipitation and flooding events in May of this year.

According to the letter to the NRCS, saturated soil conditions still exist in the county, and threats to the affected sites remain.
Work is needed to safeguard lives and property from imminent soil/stream bank erosion due to the flooding.

Also ratified by the commission was a medical services agreement extension with Rocky Mountain Ambulance Service, LLC; a professional services agreement with Ridgepoint Consulting, LLC for the Rapid Creek Culvert Replacement Project; a cooperative agreement extension with Johnson County for Public Health’s Emergency Preparedness Coordinator; and a facility condition assessment contract with Dude Solutions.
