The Sheridan County Commissioners held a special meeting yesterday to clean up a few things that were missed at last week’s regular commission meeting. County Commissioner Mike Nickel tells us why they delayed awarding the bid on some construction projects:

The Commission awarded the bids for the Beaver Creek Road, Soldier Creek Road, and Keystone Road improvement projects to JWS Energy from Gillette. The total cost of the work will be just shy of $500,000.

The Board also agreed to sell the old Story Fire Hall for $80,000. The sale was conducted by bids and the Commissioners had just finalized the easements necessary for the sale at their meeting last week.

The Board will meet again next Tuesday for their first regular meeting in June.
