County Commission Considers Rezone Request

The Sheridan County Commissioners Tuesday approved the Mydland Trust Rezone, which was a request by the Elmer Milton Mydland Trust to rezone 117 acres from Agricultural to Urban Residential. The property fronts Big Horn Road, or State Highway 332 near Paradise Park Road. Prior to approval, Commissioners listended to concerns raised by a nearby property owner, who said if the property is subdivided and eventually developed, he’d lose his view of the Bighorn Mountains.

Commission Chair Bob Rolston reminded the individual that the item before the commission was a rezone request, and that if it were to be subdivided, it would have to go through the proper channels.

The un-platted 117 acre property currently contains three residences and associated outbuildings along the east side of Big Horn Road.
