The Sheridan City Council held a work session Monday with the focus being the City's Snow Plan and Policy for the upcoming winter season. There are some minor changes to the City's snow plan this year include adding to the list of snow routes and changing the name of what was once the Emergency Snow Route to Snow Route Alert. City Operations Manager for Streets Pete Husman.

Husman explains that while the City's street department will be working more closely with the Police Department this winter, issuing citations is something that they want to try and avoid through the publics cooperation.

Husman said that people that live along the snow route's will have several places to find out if an alert has been issued and their vehicle must be moved. The City's website, the City Access Channel, reverse 911 and the media will all make the Snow Route Alert available for residents once it is called.
