Members of the Sheridan City Council were updated Monday night on an ordinance that they soon will be considering that will establish regulations for mobile vendors within the City.

Staff with the City began working on the ordinance last fall and have held a number of workshops and open houses to garner input from the various mobile vendors in town. City Community Development Director Brian Craig.

The ordinance also sets a $250 annual permit fee for mobile vendors and a fee of $50 for a 7-day permit. During the study session Monday night, Sheridan Mayor Roger Miller expressed his opinion on what he feels is too low of an annual fee.

Since the regulations are in the form of an ordinance, it will require three readings by the Council, the first of which is expected to take place at their upcoming meeting on April 16.
