Over the weekend we reported on a media conference that was held Friday by City of Sheridan department heads to provide an update on how things faired during the first week of RMA providing EMS to the citizens of Sheridan. City Council President John Bigelow offered these comments toward the end of the meeting in regard to any animosity between Sheridan Fire-Rescue and RMA.

RMA Co-Owner Rick Ballard stated that they've always had a professional relationship with the personnel from SFR.

The transition period in the contract with RMA is for one month, which means that they have until September 1st to staff up to handle the influx of EMS calls. Last week we told you that RMA gave first opportunity to fill those positions to the SFR personnel that were laid off, however, none of those firefighters have elected to apply for the positions at RMA.
